We have been working with Liferites Funerals at Hurstville, independent Funeral Directors and Funeral Celebrants for bespoke tailored ceremony florals for a number of years. We consider this an important part of the flower design services we provide at Bold Botanicals.
We take special care creating organic and abundant displays to be extra special for your beloveds farewell funeral ceremony. A strong trend away from traditional ceremonies has led us to making bespoke creations as unique as your person. Designed to be brimming in abundance, our floristry style is seasonal, organic, and garden-esque for each person with a 'natural garden vibe' of your requested flowers.
The Style
Funeral Tributes: Traditionally, a half or full size casket arrangement rests upon the casket through the Ceremony and in transport. In lieu of casket flowers, a floral wreath or 'floral display' on an easel may be your choice instead. These may be used at the Ceremony to replace casket flowers and moved to the Wake, if you have a customised casket displayed with meaningful art, images or messages.
We have created a natural organic material base so the flowers can be repurposed into bouquets by the funeral home for you.
Natural Burial
For a natural burial, we can supply two options: a bountiful hand-tied sheaf bouquet or a natural-base casket arrangement. The only non-vegetative material is decompostible jute string.

Themes:
We have designed flowers to be displayed in rollerskates, your beloveds work boots or favourite shoes as a personal touch. Please contact Suzanne to discuss this option.
Wake decor: A memory table of photos and flowers is a popular inclusion at most modern funerals.Whether you would like traditional shaped round urn vases brimming with loveliness, or a series of clustered vases to bring personality to a space, we can suggest a size to suit your venue. We offer both mixed flower and foliage arrangements or a single variety of flowers (such as roses) in each vase. Please advise if you need to loan vases from us, or prefer vase to keep, or gift to family.
Personal flowers: Many family and friends like to wear a buttonhole of fresh flowers on the Ceremony day to symbolize their loved one or an important memory such as Rosemary for a serviceperson. Other ribbons such as pink ribbon represents Breast Cancer awareness.
Single stemmed flowers such as Roses or Tulips are a perfect idea for a burial farewell, to be placed on the casket as no plastics are used. A bundle of Gum stems to weave into the casket is another popular choice.
We do not use floral foam or single use plastics where possible for sustainability.
Special Requests
Sourcing premium Australian native flowers and locally grown seasonal flowers, we honour your special requests as best we can. We encourage a colour selection or a favourite flower, maybe even a theme if your person had a special hobby such as gardening that you would like to include.
Delivery
We service the Sydney metro area only for a fixed fee of $35.00. Additional delivery solutions can be arranged by Quotation such as taking the flowers from Ceremony to your Home or moving venues.
